Advances in artificial perception are already being translated into large-scale operational systems (e.g. facial recognition, voice interfaces, autonomous driving, etc.) and the use of these systems is becoming increasingly widespread. They question the singularity of human perception and the limits—both ethical and technical—of the simulation of higher cognitive functions.
